The number of RPLAN users worldwide tops the 100,000 mark. ACTANO acquires IPEQ and integrates its IQWeb document management and collaboration solution into its own product portfolio under the name of RPLAN Collaborative Workspace.

Interfaces to SAP PS, Windchill, Stages and the RPLAN API (Application Programming Interface) establish RPLAN as an integral part of the IT landscape.
2007
With a brand license, RPLAN is adopted as the group-wide standard project management tool for automotive development at Volkswagen and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.
2006
Incorporation of risk/action management into the RPLAN suite, a first for project management software.
2005
The Mercedes Car Group signs a deal for an RPLAN group license and high-profile companies such as Rolls-Royce Deutschland, Mitsubishi, and General Motors are added to the list of new customers. ACTANO Inc. is founded in Detroit.
2002
With the introduction of the Cross Company Planning (CCP) technology, RPLAN becomes the first and only project management software worldwide to support the direct integration of development partners into the product development planning and control processes.
2001
Following RCOM’s merger with the internationally operating BOS Systemhaus to form the RCOM/BOS corporate group, the company changes its name to ACTANO in 2001.
1996
As the first German OEM, the BMW AG opts for the group-wide deployment of RPLAN as its project management software in product development.
1994
RPLAN is introduced as the first enterprise database solution and as a substitute for Microsoft Project on the German market. RPLAN is based on the collaborative project management methodology developed by RCOM/ACTANO.
1989
The company is founded under the name of RCOM. Its initial focus is on process management and engineering data management.
