TDM – Test Data Management

Documentation of master data and tasks relating to test objects and test beds in the trials environment of development processes. Application functions:

TDM is a central system with flexible workflow mapping and security functions. It has been in operation for 4.5 years with approx. 1000 end users.

ACTANO is responsible for functional design, implementation, maintenance, and support.

CAF-Editor

Vehicle coding permits the use of a hardware/software variant of controls unit instead of several variants. The necessary coding application files (CAFs) are created with the CAF Editor.

These are stored as XML files and are protected by encryption and security tokens. The application is implemented in Java. ACTANO provides Second and Third Level Support.
An agile methodology appropriate to the project constraints was applied in stages 2 and 3 .
In stage 3, the platform was migrated to Eclipse RCP. The editor has 300 users across company boundaries.

ACTANO analyzed the functional requirements, developed the IT concept, and implemented the application.

Document Management

Management of documents based on a customer-specific project structure in RPlan.

Project and schedule structures are exported from the customer's RPlan system and mapped in a document management system (DMS). External reports can then be stored in the system in a various formats.

The application is implemented in Java and has a Web GUI (JSF framework with ICEfaces components). The DMS is an OpenSource-based Jackrabbit tool from Apache.

ACTANO developed the concept and implemented the application.

Interfaces between RPlan and other systems

ACTANO has developed a variety of interfaces for different customers:
  • RPlan <-> ARIS – Project processes are prepared in ARIS and created as project/schedule structures in RPlan. Changes in RPlan are fed back to ARIS
