ACTANO is celebrating its 20th year in the software and services business. RPlan V9.3 with significant improvements in resource management is launched into market. It is successfully implemented quickly by several of our early adopter customers. 2008
The new RPlan Version 9 drove the largest growth in new customers, with a 25% increase in new accounts adapting RPlan into production. ACTANO US wins process consulting business with Daimler Hybrid.
2007
International business grew steadily. The number of RPlan users worldwide passed the 80,000 mark. The first RPlan installation in Japan went live, new customers were won in the USA, and ACTANO's strategic network of partners was expanded to include not only SAP but also IDS Scheer and PTC. 2006
Revenue again rose by 25 % and the number of employees by more than 28 %. In mid 2006, ACTANO's workforce numbered 200 employees. In the course of continued business internationalization and to build on existing customer relationships (with a large American automotive group, for example), a subsidiary was set up in Detroit, USA. 2005
Growth of around 45 % was posted in the first half year. The Mercedes Car Group signed a deal for a group license and high-profile companies such as Rolls-Royce Deutschland, Mitsubishi, and General Motors were added to the list of new customers. 2004
The release of RPlan 8.0 marked another milestone in the ongoing development of collaborative project management. Partnerships with companies in USA, Europe and China paved the way to further internationalization of the RPlan product business and to global customer support. Corporate revenue was 38 % higher than in the previous year. 2003
Automobile manufacturers BMW, DaimlerChrysler, smart and Volkswagen confirmed their intention to deploy the RPlan project management software as standard in their development departments and as a basis for collaboration with suppliers. They set up a committee to coordinate use of RPlan as the standard project management software in automotive development. 2002
With the introduction of the Cross Company Planning (CCP) technology, RPlan became the first and only project management software worldwide to support direct integration of development partners in the planning and control process. First cross-company project management networks with RPlan and CCP were established. 2001
Relaunch of the company as "ACTANO manage your projects" reflected the focus on project and process management in the company name and gave the RCOM/BOS corporate group a uniform image. 2000
RPlan 6 was released as a fully Web-based product portfolio for collaborative project management. The renowned technology and financial investors TAT Capital Partners, 3i and Credit Suisse Private Equity acquired a stakeholding in the RCOM/BOS corporate group and invested in further company growth. 1999
To meet growing customer needs, RCOM and the internationally operating BOS Systemhaus merged to form the RCOM/BOS corporate group. The know-how of BOS as a supplier of services for the optimization of product and process structures supplemented the RCOM range of products and services. 1998
Further well-known companies such as Bosch, DaimlerChrysler, Volkswagen and Edscha decided to use RPlan. 1996
The company achieved a major breakthrough when BMW opted for group-wide use of the RPlan project management solution. 1994
RPlan was launched on the German market as a software solution for project management. The company quickly established itself as a provider of innovative project management solutions and professional services. 1989
The company was founded under the name of RCOM. Initially, its focus was on process management and engineering data management. |
